Zero-Ten Park at Visayas Art Fair 2025: A Three-Year Creative Journey Rooted in Cebu’s Culture and Community
The Visayas Art Fair (VAF) is always a highlight of Cebu’s cultural calendar, and this year’s event, which took place from November 15–18, 2025, at Oakridge STUDIO in Oakridge Business Park, was no exception. A hub of creativity, connection, and celebration of Filipino talent, the fair gave a platform for emerging and established artists to showcase their works, while also strengthening the community spirit that Cebu is known for.
For Zero-Ten Park (formerly The Company Cebu), this year’s Visayas Art Fair was particularly special. As one of the official exhibitors and sponsors, Zero-Ten Park helped make the event an unforgettable experience, both for artists and visitors alike. With the theme “Infinite Perspectives: Unbound Creativity,” VAF 2025 reminded everyone that art knows no limits—it is a living, breathing force that transcends boundaries and unites people from all walks of life. And for Zero-Ten Park, this year’s participation was not just a chance to showcase the incredible talent of its Artists in Residence, but a powerful reminder of the essential role creative spaces play in shaping the future of Cebu’s art scene.
Zero-Ten Park’s Role at the Visayas Art Fair 2025
Zero-Ten Park, a vibrant coworking space and creative hub located in Cebu’s IT Park, has long been dedicated to supporting the intersection of creativity, entrepreneurship, and culture. Through their Artist-in-Residence Program, they nurture local talent and provide artists with the resources and space needed to push boundaries, experiment, and grow. At VAF 2025, Zero-Ten Park had the honor of showcasing the diverse work of its Artists in Residence, whose works filled the booth with color, meaning, and inspiration.
The booth was more than just a display of art; it was a space for dialogue, exchange, and connection. Visitors were not only able to experience the physical artworks but also engage in discussions about the processes and stories behind each piece. It was a true celebration of the Cebuano spirit—diverse, dynamic, and full of life.
Our Three-Year Story With BAF: 2023, 2024, 2025
Our journey with the Visayas Art Fair reflects how much we’ve grown—not just as an organization, but as a creative community.
2023 — The Beginning
Our first year at VAF as The Company Cebu was all about exploration. We entered the fair with curiosity, met the artists who would later shape our community, and began supporting Cebu’s creative resurgence. It was the year we planted the seeds for deeper cultural involvement.
2024 — The Expansion
By 2024, our collaboration with CCAD and NCCA strengthened, and our role grew beyond being a workspace provider. We stepped into cultural ecosystem building—supporting artists through community programs, early residency initiatives, and meaningful partnerships that connected creativity with sustainability.
2025 — The Evolution
This year marked our strongest presence yet, now as Zero-Ten Park. With a richer network of artists, collaborators, and community pathways, our involvement at VAF reflected the full evolution of who we’ve become: a creative hub committed to empowering Cebu’s artistic future.
Three different years.
Three different versions of ourselves.
One unified mission: Build a Cebu where creativity isn’t just celebrated—it’s sustained.
Celebrating the Artists in Residence
Each year, Zero-Ten Park invites a diverse group of artists to join its Artist-in-Residence Program. These talented individuals, often working across various mediums, bring their unique perspectives and creative energies to the coworking community, enriching the collaborative atmosphere at Zero-Ten Park. The artists who represented Zero-Ten Park at VAF 2025 were no exception, each bringing their distinct vision and style to the event.
-
Hya Baliña – A puzzle mosaic artist known for her intricate works that celebrate complexity and connection. Baliña’s mosaics invite viewers to reflect on the beauty of how individual pieces, each with its own story, can come together to form a harmonious whole.
-
Faith Veloro – A mixed media and oil painter whose work expresses deep emotion through abstract and figurative pieces. Veloro’s paintings challenge viewers to engage with the emotional layers of the human experience, making each work a personal reflection of the artist’s inner world.
-
Art Jan Elaine Ylanan – A multidisciplinary artist who explores both traditional and digital mediums, Ylanan’s work focuses on depth and movement. Through her art, she invites the audience to look deeper, encouraging them to see beyond the surface and discover hidden meanings.
-
Anne Ruiz – A multidisciplinary artist who blends faith, nature, and personal storytelling in her pieces. Ruiz’s works are a testament to her deep connection with the natural world, often drawing on her spirituality and experiences to convey profound themes of hope, transformation, and interconnectedness.
-
Zoe Irene Armas (ART 203) – A self-taught artist whose work is centered around nostalgia and memory. Armas’ art explores the complexities of human experience, capturing moments of beauty and sadness that resonate on a deeply emotional level.
-
Chrisgel Tubianosa (Lord Krai) – A pen and ink artist known for his textured, stippled, and watercolor works. Tubianosa’s intricate illustrations evoke a sense of both chaos and harmony, showcasing his mastery of technique and his ability to transform the ordinary into something extraordinary.
Their works filled the Zero-Ten Park booth at the Visayas Art Fair, creating an immersive experience for all who visited. Each artist brought a different perspective to the table, but together, they embodied the very spirit of the fair’s theme: Infinite Perspectives: Unbound Creativity.
A Creative Ecosystem Built on Collaboration
At Zero-Ten Park, collaboration is at the heart of everything they do. As a coworking community, it’s not just about providing a space to work—it’s about fostering an environment where ideas can grow, and creativity can flourish. The Visayas Art Fair 2025 provided the perfect opportunity to showcase this ethos. It was a chance for artists, creators, and entrepreneurs to come together, share their work, and spark new conversations about the role of art in society.
Through its Artist-in-Residence Program, Zero-Ten Park has been a catalyst for the creative economy in Cebu, supporting cultural entrepreneurs who understand both the artistic and entrepreneurial sides of their work. The program gives artists access to not just physical space, but also a supportive community of like-minded individuals who believe in the power of collaboration. It’s this environment that has allowed many of Zero-Ten Park’s residents to reach new audiences, expand their networks, and turn their creative passions into sustainable careers.
By bridging the gap between art and enterprise, Zero-Ten Park is helping to build a creative economy that doesn’t just thrive on individual talent, but on shared knowledge and collaborative innovation. This was evident at the Visayas Art Fair, where visitors to the Zero-Ten Park booth were able to engage with artists and learn more about the creative processes that went into each piece of art. The booth became a living, breathing representation of the power of community and collaboration—core values that drive the mission of Zero-Ten Park.
A Community of Support
The success of Zero-Ten Park at VAF 2025 wouldn’t have been possible without the support of a dedicated community of artists, volunteers, and partners. The fair also highlighted the importance of student volunteers, who brought energy, enthusiasm, and a fresh perspective to the event. Stephanie Hope Alquizalas, Jyra Hazen Suico, and John Daniel Tamayo were instrumental in ensuring that Zero-Ten Park’s presence at the fair ran smoothly, helping with everything from booth setup to engaging visitors and sharing the story of the artists.
We also extend our gratitude to the Visayas Art Fair team and the Cebu Culture, Art, and Design Foundation (CCAD) for their continued trust and collaboration. Their unwavering commitment to uplifting Filipino creatives and showcasing the diversity of the Philippine art scene is what makes events like VAF possible. Without their vision and dedication, the fair would not be the success it is today.

Community Impact: What VAF 2025 Means for Cebuano Creatives
The impact of Zero-Ten Park at Visayas Art Fair 2025 extends far beyond the four days of the event. For Cebuano creatives, VAF is more than an exhibition—it’s a catalyst for visibility, opportunity, and long-term growth within the region’s thriving cultural landscape.
Each year, the Visayas Art Fair provides a platform where artists can showcase their work to a diverse audience of collectors, cultural leaders, entrepreneurs, students, and fellow creatives. For many Cebuano artists, this visibility is a turning point. It opens doors to new collaborations, commissions, mentorships, and connections that continue long after the fair ends.
VAF 2025 reinforced the message that Cebu is not just a participant in the Filipino art scene—it is a central hub for creativity and cultural innovation, capable of influencing and inspiring audiences across the country. With Zero-Ten Park’s expanded involvement this year, more local artists gained access to professional support systems, creative networks, and opportunities to present their work in a professionally curated environment.
The fair also cultivated a sense of belonging and pride among Cebu’s creative community. Artists saw their stories represented, their craft valued, and their voices amplified. Young creatives, especially students and emerging artists, witnessed firsthand that there is a space for them in Cebu’s cultural future—one where their talent can grow into a sustainable career.
Most importantly, VAF 2025 demonstrated that when organizations, cultural foundations, and artists come together, they create a ripple effect that strengthens the entire ecosystem. It validated the belief that creativity is not only an artistic pursuit but a powerful driver of community development, economic growth, and cultural identity.
In many ways, the Visayas Art Fair continues to be a symbol of what Cebu can achieve when creativity is supported, nurtured, and celebrated—and Zero-Ten Park is proud to be part of that movement.
Looking Ahead: The Future of Cebu’s Art Scene
As VAF 2025 comes to a close, Zero-Ten Park is already looking forward to what the future holds for Cebu’s creative community. The fair served as a powerful reminder of just how much talent exists in the region, and how much more can be achieved when artists and creatives come together. The stories shared, the connections made, and the creative sparks ignited at VAF 2025 are just the beginning.
Zero-Ten Park’s participation in the fair is a testament to the growing creative economy in Cebu, and to the incredible potential of Filipino artists to make an impact on a global scale. The support and collaboration between artists, entrepreneurs, and the wider community is what will continue to drive this success. As we look ahead to Visayas Art Fair 2026 and beyond, we are excited to see how this creative ecosystem continues to evolve and thrive.
